René brandborg Sørensen, PhD

René obtained all three of his degrees from Aalborg University while working in the Connectivity Group, where he served as an assistant during his BSc and MSc and continued his studies for his PhD. After completing his PhD, he spent five years at Gatehouse Satcom as a domain expert in 3GPP technologies and satellite communications. He architected and developed software for high-performance embedded systems and attended 3GPP meetings as a delegate, contributing to NTN work from R17 to R19, with particularly strong involvement in R17.

He has been with Gna Technology since December of 2025.
